I'm working up the guts to make some curtains for my son's room. It's not that I can't sew curtains, it's just that I bought a bunch of that Dr. Seuss fabric to make them, and I'm totally chicken to actually cut into it. Eeeep!

I am making a moda bake shop pattern that looks like a spiral block and then reversed. It is a clever block and I am using batiks. I cut the first pieces of it this evening. I have had the coffee cake strips for quite awhile so it was nice to find a pattern that I liked that I thought would show off the lovely fabrics,

Ooh, those are nice fabrics. I'm going to make something FOR ME! A nursing-friendly (well, not *entirely* for me, then!) sundress out of an old cotton sari. Made up the pattern, so I hope it works - in any case, now that I'm back living in Texas, and only wear saris for fancy events, my casual cotton ones aren't getting worn anymore anyhow.
